It’s Basement Photo Friday! Mom always said don’t make a scene.

Mom may have said “Shh! don’t make a scene!” when you were having a temper tantrum in the grocery store.  But in the basement, you should feel free to make any type of scene that you want – patterned, landscaped, architectural, bold, loud or colorful – have at it!

Skip thinking about what color will you choose to paint your new finished basement walls.  Why settle for just one color when you can create a scene?

For a child’s play area in the basement, this mural incorporates dinosaurs, trucks and dirt. The bottom walls/ledges are cleverly painted to look like stone walls.  Did you notice the grass “growing” up from the floor?  One of the best things about this mural is how the color palate actually brings in and magnifies the natural light that flows in.
