It’s Basement Photo Friday – Take another look at glass blocks!

Basement windows can be a decorative addition to your basement remodel that you may never have thought about.  Rather than installing plain glass windows, why not install glass block windows?  Put aside your memories, especially if you think it’s just not your style, of glass block walls in disco-era homes (or corporate offices).    Glass blocks are a stylish and practical alternative to paned glass windows.

Glass block windows in the basement will give you privacy and let in light at the same time.  Many of these windows have vents (as shown above) so that you can get fresh air flow into the basement as well.  Easy to install, many glass block windows come patterned and pre-assembled too!  Rethink your thoughts about glass block windows.
