Project Summary:
The largest postal hub in New England is based in Boston, MA located on the corner of Summer St. and Dorchester Ave. next to South Station. Rescon was called in to deal with water seepage in the mail conveyor area. Each high tide water was seeping into the basement where the original mail conveyor system is located.
The conveyor belt stretched the entire length of the building, more than 1/2 mile long. The most challenging part of installing the basement water control system on this project was access. This problem was overcome by creative use of the conveyor system and that helped to substantially reduce the cost of the project.
