Before and After – A Dirty Damp Nasty Crawlspace Transformation

The above crawlspace is not what many people think of when they hear the word “crawlspace”  Often, crawlspaces are no more than 2-3 feet high and are unable to be turned into useable space.  This crawlspace encapsulation project was an unusual and large undertaking.  The homeowner wanted to be able to utilize the space for storage as well as put in a music room.

With headroom just under 6 feet, the clients were unable to fully finish the space due to building code restrictions.  As you can see from the slides, Rescon cleaned up the crawlspace, encapsulated the walls and poured a new concrete floor.  Installing a dehumidifier will ensure that the space and the air in it remains dry and healthy.  Our clients gained almost 500 square feet of useable, clean and dry space and are pleased with the transformation.
